Learning a new language opens you up to new experiences and allows you to enhance skills such as critical thinking and observation. Being multilingual is also hugely valued by many employers.
As a student, you can take a language module either:
- as one of your credit-bearing modules within your degree, if it is offered as an optional module for your course
- as a non-credit module on top of your course for an additional fee of £340.
Modules start in the first semester and involve three contact hours each week (excluding Week 6 of the first semester and second semester), as well as study activities outside the classroom. These include revision classes during the second semester.
