I am an early-stage doctoral researcher in the Horizon LegumeLegacy Doctoral Network at the ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø, specializing in ruminant nutrition. My research focuses on quantifying nutrient dynamics in diverse forage mixtures and assessing their effects on digestibility and methane emissions. I also investigate how forage maturity and drought stress influence forage quality, using in situ digestibility techniques and in vitro batch culture to evaluate environmental performance across different harvest regimes.

Areas of interest

I am an early-stage doctoral researcher at the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø, United Kingdom, under the Horizon LegumeLegacy Doctoral Network. I am supervised by Professor Chris Reynolds and Professor John Hammond. I hold a Master of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Animal Science (Ruminant Nutrition), from Sunchon National University, South Korea, where I conducted research under the guidance of Professor Sang Suk-Lee. During my master’s studies, I was involved in various research projects, including in vitro rumen fermentation, in situ evaluation of different forages, and in vivo cattle feeding trials.

Currently, my PhD research focuses on quantifying nutrient dynamics in diverse forage mixtures and understanding their environmental impacts. I aim to identify the optimal combinations of forage species and maturity stages to enhance system productivity. My work also explores how forage maturity influences digestibility and methane emissions, with the goal of mitigating greenhouse gas output. In addition, I investigate the effects of drought stress on forage quality and digestibility.
