Overview
The subject provides an introductory, general underpinning knowledge about the business events industry. It will include management techniques and strategies required for successful event programme planning, budgeting, contracts, marketing, destination site, facility selection, food and lodging, sponsorship, logistics and others. It addresses the industry鈥檚 current need for graduates with the knowledge, skills and competencies to take up a variety of roles within the industry and other related sectors.
On completing the course, students will be able to:
- Explain the roles of stakeholders of business events in hosting various events and functions
- Propose a business bid for meetings, incentives travel, conventions or exhibition events.
- Examine the current issues and challenges related to the business events industry
