Family adventure trail to raise funds for children鈥檚 charity
03 June 2025
An exciting funfair-themed event for families will take place at the 狼友社区 on Sunday 29 June, to help raise funds for families caring for a seriously ill child.
The event is in aid of Children’s Charity, the 狼友社区’s chosen Charity of the Year for the 2024/25 academic year.
Families will get the chance to enjoy a short walking route through the beautiful Whiteknights campus, encountering fairground-themed activity checkpoints along the way.
Participants will receive a map and collect stamps after completing challenges at each checkpoint, before ending at the 'Finishers' Fun Zone' to claim their prizes and enjoy even more fun activities, including a bouncy castle.
The event features a variety of activities suitable for all ages, including classic fairground games such as Splat the Rat, Tin Can Alley and a penalty shoot-out challenge – ensuring fun outdoor entertainment for children and adults alike.
Katherine Burgess, Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager at Rainbow Trust, said: "With the cost-of-living crisis and political uncertainty, times are exceptionally difficult for families caring for a seriously ill child.
“At Rainbow Trust, we pair these families with expert Family Support Workers who provide practical and emotional support to help them cope during incredibly challenging circumstances. This family-friendly event will help raise vital funds to support the work we do with families locally and across the UK.”
for the event can be bought online in advance. Timed-slots begin at 10am and are every 30 minutes, with the last entry at 12.30pm.
All proceeds from the Rainbow Adventure Trail will support Rainbow Trust’s work to support families caring for a seriously ill child.
