This course is designed to empower you with the skills and knowledge to prevent, identify, and respond to harassment, hate and sexual misconduct. By promoting a culture of awareness, support, and accountability, we aim to create a safer and more respectful environment for everyone within the university community.
Please allow 2 hours to take the training which can also be broken down into 4 modules at 25 minutes each.
This course will introduce you to key concepts around harassment, hate, and sexual misconduct in a university setting. Across four modules you will explore how harmful behaviours occur and are normalised, how to respond to disclosures with empathy, and how you can contribute to a safer, more inclusive campus while maintaining your own wellbeing.

Course Content
MODULE 1: Tackling harassment and sexual misconduct (25 minutes)
Understanding harassment, hate, and sexual misconduct - This module defines key terms, impacts of harmful behaviour, and the role of consent in harassment and misconduct.
MODULE 2: Being an active bystander (25 minutes)
This module discusses recognising subtle forms of harm, normalisation, and how to be an active bystander.
MODULE 3: Looking out for friends and peers (25 minutes)
This module explores compassionate responses to disclosures, the impact of trauma, and how to support survivors while challenging common myths and barriers.
MODULE 4: Building a safe and inclusive community (25 minutes)
This module focuses on building inclusive communities and maintaining personal wellbeing.
